This reminds me that SF is a GREAT walking city.  One Sunday my wife and I started walking from Fisherman&#039;s Wharf to Union Square along the cable car route.  We planned to hop on a cable car as soon as one came along.

As it turned out, we were within a block of Union Square before a cable car finally caught up with us. (Why the cable car was so backed up is another story.)

The point is: San Francisco is just not that big a city, geographically speaking, and it is an absolutely beautiful city to walk in, despite the hills.</description>
