Their daughter may be deceased, but her heart beats on in the Valley of the Sun
Taylor died tragically 7 months ago in a skiing accident. The doctor advised her parents, Todd and Tara Storch to donate her heart to another person they did not know. Todd looked at his wife, Tara, and could see the answer in her eyes. YES!
I was watching Todd, Tara, and the recipient of Taylor’s heart on ABC’s Good Morning America, and had felt like I had known Tara and Todd for years. I’ve never met them. I called Tara and Todd the next day and shared my very own near death tumor scare in 2008. Quite a bond established with feelings of those flashback fragile moments in the hospital, and striking reminders in the photo of Tara holding up the stethoscope to Patrica Winters heart, a mother, and the recipient of Taylor’s heart.
There are tears as they embrace, heart-to-heart, for almost a minute. “I know we should talk, but I need to hear her,” Tara said to Patricia, who quickly retrieved her nurse’s stethoscope.
Tara listened, smiled, and sobbed.
“It’s so strong!” she said.
“She is very strong,” Patricia replied.
It is the sound of life itself.
It is Taylor’s gift.
Todd and Tara are shining examples of compassion, authenticity and consciousness, making sure other people live because of Taylor’s Gift.
Plus! Smart Green Travel with Jerry Hart, welcomes the first man to fly a solar aircraft balloon around the world in 1999 and about to break around world record in a massive solar airplane.
His father was Captain Nemo – Captain of the submersible in “20,000 leagues below the sea”, making him the first to the bottom of the ocean, 38,000 feet below. He proved to the government, that the bottom of the ocean was not a place for a toxic dump site and that life is happening at 38,000 feet below on our ocean floor.
His grandfather invented the principal of the pressurized cabin and climbed to 50,000 feet in a balloon…the first in the stratosphere and first to see with his own eyes the curvature of the earth. That was a way to study the cosmic waves much more and was the door to modern aviation safety, in which airplanes could finally fly above the bad weather. In 1931, going to the stratosphere was like going to the moon
