Jerry - I just signed up so I won’t miss a blog post!

I’ve been doing more research and writing complaints to companies this week, and it’s increasingly frustrating because some companies still animal test in the US but not Australia, or the particular item I usually buy is not tested on animals but other products from the company are.

I have, however, found out that some of my favourite beauty products are not tested on animals, and don’t contain animal products which is just brilliant.

The best “line” I’ve seen drawn is by some animal rights groups. The deciding factor is whether the animal is sentient, and therefore has interests (even if those interests are as basic as continued survival, avoiding pain, etc.) and therefore deserves the right to protect that interest.

Also, you should be able to find some lists of cruelty-free brands which are available where you live, there’s an excellent website for Australia products which I use all the time.
