Normally, when I see a turbine, I get angry. I’ve heard that birds die in the blades of the turbine. I’m going to have do some research on this and maybe start a movement to stop impeding flight plans for our “not the best at spotting a big fan that doubles as a blender” two legged friends. That’s the first thing I thought of when I found this photo and I still was excited to see technology and man work as one to help the planet. And, I don’t mean the John McCain energy plan that keeps America drilling drilling drilling to help the planet.
Apparently, it’s one of the two currently going up in the city of Hamburg.

I live next to the historical Bay Bridge being built before my eyes and this takes first place for the "Oh Wow" factor
Now I wonder if we can get cars to power themselves based on wind? Aren’t these turbines creating energy?

Oh sure…cant wait to commute in that virgin white version of the Bat Mobile
Maybe it’s in that plan the President signed today in an energy bill pledging strong backing for clean energy and energy efficiency.
I liked that Obama touched on what sacrifices his administration would ask America to make during tough economic times.
Obama said “he would incentivize Detroit to make more fuel-efficient cars, and would also be “making sure that you are able to weatherize your home or make your business more fuel efficient”.
He gave a pretty clever answer, because the trick to energy efficiency, of course, is that it is not actually a sacrifice. Unlike more expensive green investments like a Prius or solar panels, adding insulation to your house or sealing leaky windows can actually save money in the near term.
Obama’s views, now determination, to double the production for alternative/renewable energy in the next three years, plus the concept of forming smart grids is very much appreciable. All others should follow to save this planet for future generations and reduce dependence on diminishing fossil fuel .
Barack Obama said in this speech - “A world that depends on the strength of our economy is now watching and waiting for America to lead once more. And that is what we will do.” Now, that’s why I love this President. He is not giving up on how good it can be when America leads the world.
Obama’s speech today is likely to provide reassurance to the fledgling renewable energy industry, which hopes for a generous slice of aid from the stimulus package.
